1730: A vision without a task is but a dream. A task without a vision is but a drudgery. A vision and a task are the hope of the world.
— Inscribed upon the wall of a church in Sussex, England
God made men to lead. For men to lead well they must be leading toward goals, to be on a mission, to be operating with a purpose, a plan. The effectiveness of a man on a mission compared to the wandering, hapless man is comparable to the difference between a modern fighter jet and a toy balsa wood glider: One will fulfill its purpose, imposing the will of its pilot on the atmosphere to achieve its goals, the other but a cheap toy for childhood amusement, its actions controlled by its environment, by the very wind that will eventually destroy it. In like manner, just as an NFL lineman seeks to impose his will upon his determined and capable opponent, the purposeful man, the man on a mission, exerts his good will against the world and will lead effectively. Those in his sphere – family, church, business, society – will benefit greatly, as will the man himself.
To that end, he has written a book entitled: Made to Lead: Finding a Virtuous Wife in Sodom, available for Kindle at Amazon. He is most excited to deliver this material in seminars for he truly enjoys watching the scales fall from men’s eyes in person.
Rob’s next public engagement is August 12-15 at the Waters in the Wilderness Conference. See the seminars page for more info.
